Tabitha Muggleston

Thanks for stopping by Muggshot Studios! 
I am Tabitha Muggleston, your photographer, partner-in-planning, therapist and capturer of memories. You will learn quickly that while I am laid back, I am very passionate about providing you an abundance of images to treasure for a lifetime. 
I am a native of the area and grew up with a love for photography. I can remember watching my Mom load film into our only camera and watch as the number of available shots decreased. It was a long time before I had the courage to ask for a turn since I knew the value of every shot, every image had to mean something. I would get so excited when our errands included stopping to pick up that treasured envelope of photographs after waiting 7-14 days for processing. :) To this day I still love sitting for hours flipping through the overflowing drawers and albums in my parent's home and my own stashes around the house. Gah...I can feel the emotions just typing this little paragraph. The faces of my 3 brothers and I from chubby newborns to full grown adults with families of our own. Time is SO fleeting. 
Fast forward several years...2 kids, a husband who is still crazy about me for some reason, our 2nd dog, a fish, a bunny, more photo props than any one person needs and a formal home studio I never imagined I would want or need. :)
After an 11 year career as an engineer in the telecom world I decided to switch gears towards a career that would allow me more time with these humans I value more than anything in the universe. Excitement and encouragement from family and friends helped me take the leap into making my hobby a profession! I began the process of learning, training, classes, trial & error, workshops, conventions, building my portfolio, pushing myself to be present and active with people other than my family and friends while also capturing those in-between moments that I found a deep love for early on. I began as a natural light photographer in 2013 partly because studio lighting was daunting to me and because sunlight is FREE. :) I now can't imagine life without my Einstein studio light! 
After 7 years of shooting in all genres of photography I found that my passion is deeply rooted into Maternity, Newborn and milestones within baby's first year. I remodeled my business in 2020 to dedicate all of my time and attention to specializing solely in these genres.
